I may need to get the shaver out and expand the bald patch, dust on some talcum powder to add some extra grey to the hair....etc At a mere lad of 52, I'd probably need some help to pass for 'elderly', unless it's down to attitude - I can do 'grumpy old git' like an expert. I was waffling on to my kids once, referring to their maternal grandparents as 'old codgers' (in the nicest possible way), when elder daughter asks: "Daddy, are you an old codger"? The only credible response seemed to be "Not yet, but I'm working on it".
