Just a quick note to say that Marian rang me yesterday from home. She's been there for about a week. However, that is only a temporary thing. At the moment she is waiting for a transfer to the Royal Brompton Hospital in London as soon as a bed becomes available. Apparently the consultant there considers her to be an urgent case. They have discounted heart and lung problems, and at the moment are exploring the possibility that the culprits in the case are the arteries feeding the heart. In the meantime, she is getting very breathless after only a short period of activity, and is still very much unable to sing. She has asked me to keep people posted when she moves into hospital, which of course I will do. Irene
