"Belief" is just a word for deciding in our own minds whether something is true or not, without knowing for sure. People with strong beliefs need other people to agree with them. They feel the more who agree with them, the more likelihood of them being right! A belief or non belief in something of course doesn't make it true or not. Everyone used to believe the world was flat. And they didn't like it when someone told them maybe it wasn't. For myself I don't use the word "believe" any more. I just go with my feelings, and leave other people's ideas/beliefs open.
