He certainly did. And moreover has refused to go down the exclusive concerts path of getting a manager and getting the fees he bloody well deserves after fifty years on the road-still playing the folk clubs, travelling by train carrying his own instruments at 70 years old and currently gigging solo throughout my mam's illness and my own confinement (odd word but still true) to the amazement of both his family and fans.
