I recall a passage in one of Walt Kelly's books, when he added commentary instead of just his Pogo drawings, where he was trying to think of an idea for a strip, and a little boy visitor, aged about 4, looked out at the house being built next door and asked, "Why do they build houses outside? They can't work when it's raining." Bingo, a set of really hilarious Sunday strips was born, involving a portable door in a frame, plus Albert Alligator, Bun Rabbit, and Ol' Bear. "Excelsior!" he cried. Sometimes silly questions are just fodder for the imagination. Then again, sometimes they're just stupid questions. Bob
