GUEST,Doc John BS: Optical illusion delusions (9) RE: BS: Optical illusion delusions 24 Dec 10

All representations of three dimentional subjects onto a flat surface, be it paper, canvas, a screen etc, are really optical illusions as the brain is 'tricked' by the artist or technician into believing that it is a three dimentional subject that is being looked at. Artists like Escher break the rules so we can't work out what is going on. Clever!
