reggie miles Funny Christmas Song (5) RE: Funny Christmas Song 25 Dec 10

I just posted the lyrics to my song, "Me And Santa We've Got An Understandin'", on the Santa Claus songs thread. Then there's this one, sung to the tune of "The Little Drummer Boy".

Toy Lust by Reggie Miles © 2009

Look, there's a guy over there, with a toy that I want
It was the last one on the shelf, that the toy that I want
I wonder if he'll let me buy from him, that toy that I want
I'd give him more than he paid for it, that toy that he got
Toy that he got, that toy that I want

It's battery operated, that toy that I want
And oh so highly rated, that toy that I want
It's a Consumer Report best buy, that toy that I want
And it comes with free wi-fi, the toy that I want
Toy that I want, that toy that he got

I looked away for a second and lost track of that guy
A woman in a reindeer suit came prancin' by
Her rack just looked so cute it caught my eye
Now, how will I find that guy? I started to cry
Oh me oh my, oh where is that guy?

Then, I spied him with his red suit on
With a kid singin' a Christmas song
He gave that toy to him before too long
I've been so good this year that it just seemed wrong
Just seemed wrong, my toy is long gone

Now, that kid over there has the toy that I want
It was the last one on the shelf, that the toy that I want
I wonder if he'll let me buy from him, that toy that I want
That guy just gave it to him, that toy that I want
That toy that he got, that toy that I want
