Celtic Music Radio is an OFCOM-licensed community radio station, broadcasting all forms of traditional and contemporary Scottish/Celtic/Folk/Roots-influenced music to the Glasgow area on 1530kHz, and worldwide via http://www.celticmusicradio.net . During Celtic Connections, we will be based in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and will be broadcasting around 10-12 hours "live" from the festival every day.

We are delighted to announce that Celtic Music Radio will be available in many regions of the UK on DAB Digital Radio for the duration of Celtic Connections 2011.

We have arranged for Celtic Music Radio to appear on the "Popup Radio" channel from 10-30 January 2011. Through a partnership with Arqiva Now Digital, Celtic Music Radio will expand its 24 hour a day service to many areas of England and Wales and locally in the Ayrshire area.

The list of regions covered is at the bottom of this post. If you are in (or near!) one of these regions, and have a DAB radio, turn the tuning dial and look for a channel called "Popup Radio". If it's there, you'll be able to receive us from 10 January!

This will take us into regions where there are around 5 million homes with DAB radios, and to a potential audience of over 12 million adults.

The regions covered include:

* Plymouth
* Cornwall
* South East Devon
* South East Wales
* Bristol
* West Wiltshire
* Swindon
* Berkshire & North Hampshire
* Sussex Coast
* Kent
* Essex
* Norwich
* Peterborough
* Cambridge
* Nottingham
* Leicester
* Coventry
* Wolverhampton
* Ayrshire

(We are also offering some very attractive advertising and sponsorship packages which take advantage of this increased coverage, which will reach the homes of many of the major UK folk festivals (eg Cambridge). Drop Bob a line on sales@celticmusicradio.net if this is of interest)

Bruce.
