"Why should I - or anybody doubt that our traditional singers were 'entertainers' - the fact that they are so much more, doesn't alter that fact?" I agree. Which is why I do not see exclusion of contemporary singer-songwriters. What is the difference - a good song and a good performer is a good evening.
