I saw that on the Daily Show! Jon Stewart assembled several video clips of O'Reilly using the same "argument"--if you can call it that--with several different guests. One can only gape. It makes no sense. The tides prove the existence of God? How is that logical? Without God, nothing would follow a predictable pattern? Everything would be random? Well, if somebody wants to believe that, let them go ahead. I have no objection. But it's a far cry from believing in a God that regulates the tides, to believing in a God that requires us to outlaw abortion, pray in public schools, outlaw gay marriage, etc., or whatever the religious right wants these days. I won't waste my breath opposing this silliness.
