thanks to a friend i have just watched a film that made me cry.

the notebook.

it not only made me cry but actually i think broke my heart at one point.

so what made it so poigniont(?) ? (ok i can't spell but i haven't been to sleep)

a classic love wins all story until the woman develops altsimers(?)
she comes back to her true love, ..........for 5 minuites, then suddenly the fog comes back and she freaks out and the man is left heartbroken.

now partly i identify because of personal experiances. but so much more was empathy.
i could not only see his pain, but feel it almost as if it were my own.

maybe this gift thats inside most of us comes from way back when we had to hunt for food? when living together in caves meant that we had to be more aware of how our own behavious affected others or vice versa?

just a guess, what say you?
