Well, our first live broadcast is over! A few logistical problems to start with, but we managed to get the link to the concert hall running with 2 minutes to spare! We covered the launch of the festival. The main event from our perspective begins tomorrow: 11.00-12.30 - Morning Magazine – Mark Sheridan with guests, previews and reviews 12.30-13.30 - Iain Anderson In Conversation - in front of a live audience, Iain (of BBC Radio Scotland fame) hosts a live "chat show", with different guests each day, and some live music too. Friday's guests are another two "Ian"s - Ian Green and Ian McCalman. Both are well known in folk music circles - as the owner of "Greentrax" records and founder member of "the McCalmans" respectively! 13.30-15.00 - Afternoon Session – live from the Exhibition Hall with musical guests and performances. 15.00-17.00 - Hotchpotch with Gordon Hotchkiss – live from the Exhibition Hall with guests, chat and at 4.00pm Danny Stage preview with Liz Clark. 17:00 – Danny Kyle Open Stage – live from the Exhibition Hall with MC Liz Clark plus commentary from Bill Morris and Ken Macdonald. Over the next fortnight, 75 up-and-coming performers compete for the coveted "Danny" awards - fame, fortune, and a big-stage support gig next year! 19.00 - back to the studio.
