John, thanks for the extra information on Steve Young. I have been able to dig out my Baez album and she does give credit to Steve for the song. The lyrics on Baez album are slightly different than the Eagle's version. (Baez) There are stars in the southern sky It's southward as you go. There is moonlight and moss in the trees On the Seven Bridges Road I go. I have loved you like a baby And like some motherless child, I have loved you in a tame way, And I can love you wild. Sometimes there is a part of me Has to turn away and go Running like child beneath warm stars On the Seven Bridges Road I go. There are stars in the southern sky If ever you decide to go, There's a taste of damn sweet honey On the Seven Bridges Road I go. Again, Mudcat comes through. Thanks, John, for the Steve Young link. I'll check it out.
Andre.
