I admit that I have found HMRC (tax centre), DVLA (car licences) and The Passport & Identity Service always polite and extremely helpful when I have dealt with them. I somehow see them as outside the call centre tag but I guess they are call centres really.

If I get good service I deem them to be decent. If I get bad service then I deem them to be a call centre! lol
