Its extremely disappointing to read some of the crass comments on this obituary thread. I suppose its a sign of the times.

Yes, one of the most underrated guitarists ever. The guy could make three notes sound amazing. His solos were full of melody. He will be terribly missed by his family and friends, not to mention a great number of fans of the electric guitar.
