I hope that copyrights are not dead ....that would mean the death of writing as a viable career choice. Of course, writers of music and of prose and poetry and lyrics have a right to profit from their creations. As for the copyrighting of public domain materials by simply changing a few notes (or words).... just change them back. (duh)
