My dad's of Scottish and English extraction and his folks were from Ontario. We lived outside Detroit, Michigan. But given that, a lot of Dad's more colorful expressions came from his time in the army. I'll ask him the next time I talk to him if he can remember where he heard it. Blessings Barbara
