Geoff, One of my most moving memories was of the ceremony to commemorate the renovation and re-dedication of the statue of La Passionara on the Clyde a few years ago. It was a beautiful cold and clear austere October day and I was privileged to be part of the audience listening to Jack Jones speak of the need to remain vigilant to the horrors of fascism and the pride and dignity of the last 3 remaining Scottish SCW veterans. They've all sadly gone now but the memory of that day burns bright. If I ever get round to finishing it, there'll be another song commemorating that day and the SCW to add to your list soon.
