Back in the late '70s'/early '80s' I heard somebody in New York, I think it was down at an open-air concert at the South Street Seaport, sing a New York parody of City of New Orleans. Age and disorganisation have both removed most of the song from my brain, and lost the cassette I had recorded it on. Does anybody have a copy of the lyrics ? Maybe even the original author ? I would be happy to give full credit to the writers if I ever performed or recorded it.
