Just dug out my "Songs of Bertolt Brecht" tape, which is playing now. Armstrong and Van Ronk singing (separately), with Rosselson also playing on Armstrong's songs. They recorded it in Vancouver, I think originally produced by Festival Records. Great straight-forward singing and basic accompaniment. Armstrong and Van Ronk's voices and styles suit Brecht. Van Ronk: " ... and if someone gets kicked, that will be you." Armstrong: "...my son, if you think I brought you into the world so painfully to have you lie under it so meekly and ask for more ..." Van Ronk's version of Mack the Knife doesn't sound much like Bobby Darrin, or whoever it was did the top-40 version in the 60s.
