Kris Drever and new trio Pilgrim's Way will be at The Musician in Leicester on Thursday 21 April.

Kris Drever is one third of folk superstars Lau and has also released the acclaimed albums Black Water and Mark The Hard Earth. An outstanding guitarist, he has worked with Kate Rusby, Eddi Reader and Julie Fowlis and also as part of the trio Drever McCusker Woomble. At The Musician he will be with Irish banjo player Eamon Coyne and playing songs from all areas of his career, including his new album recorded with Coyne, Honk Tout Suite. You can watch Kris & Eamon here

Pilgrim's Way are Tom Kitching (familiar from his playing with Gren Bartley), Edwin Beasant and Lucy Wright. Named for the Rudyard Kipling poem, set to music by the great Peter Bellamy, their aim is to present gimmick-free English folk of the finest kind. They were brought together by a series of chance meetings at sessions around the North West of England, bonding over red hair and a shared love of traditional music and have been shaking up assorted kitchens, public houses and folk venues ever since.

Tickets are a bargain basement £9 from wegottickets or the Musician.

Doors are at 8, music starts at 8.30 and finishes around 11.
