When I was in 2nd grade in Canada we used to sing this song to learn about safely crossing a street.
It went something like this:

"All alone for a loaf of bread
All alone went Johnny
Watch the traffic his mother said
Yes, answered Johnny
But he forgot what mother said and he forgot the light was red
He felt a big bump and he thought he was dead"
