I lingered down in Mexico and met a Senorita there that wore the Silver Bells, bright shining Silver Bells, that shined as we danced;
They seemed to say 'I love you so' as we were dancing to and fro, beneath the candle glow, that starlit night, when we found romance. (key change)
Now the lovelight was shining in her Spanish eyes, spelling paradise; I thought it over twice. Come next siesta I swore that we would meet again, knowing there and then, I'd n'er return.
