////I have several prominant signs that say: "NO SOLICITORS ... NO BIBLE THUMPERS ... NO CHRISTIANS ALLOWED ... etc. But sure enough, every Sunday afternoon ... here they come.////

What you do is arm yourself with knowledge. Learn about the sham that is Christianity. For instance, tell them you'll join them if they can come up with one reference to Jesus Christ during his life. This incredible man born of a virgin who supposed turned Jewish society and the Roman occupation on its head should been someone the Roman writers might have found worth mentioning.

Or tell them you'll join if they can give you a chronological account of what happened on the first Easter--the conditions are that all four gospels must be used and no information can be omitted or modified from any of them. If these are reliable eyewitness testimonies, it should be a snap.

Or ask them if the gospels are eyewitness accounts then who witnessed the incident in the Garden of Gethsemane?

Or why did Jesus tell his audiences that the 2nd Coming would happen in their lifetimes when it didn't?

Or how did Jesus and Pilate engage in a complex conversation concerning the nature of truth when Jesus did not speak Greek or Latin and Pilate did not speak Aramaic?

If the gospel writers came from Palestine, how is it that they do not know the layout of its cities and towns and filled their accounts with the names of fictitious towns?

Why does Paul--supposedly a contemporary of Jesus--not ever tell us anything about Jesus Christ as a creature of history and, in fact, never tells us where Jesus walked or when?

When Paul was persecuting Christians, who else was involved with him, how long did the persecution last and why did it suddenly stop upon his conversion? Was he a one-man army?

Ask them if they are aware that Bethlehem once stood where Istanbul now stands and that was precisely the reason that Constantine placed the capital of the Eastern Empire there.

Ask them if they really believe it could be possible that a bunch of poor, illiterate commonfolk managed to found a church, produce a body of literature, develop a system of ritual and all with a fisherman appointed as its head?

This is how you combat them--learn their religion better than they know it and badger them relentlessly with questions and demand answers. If they try to equivocate, do not allow it--DEMAND answers to your questions. Tell them every time they come to your house, you will talk of nothing else so don't come by unless they have answers.

They'll stop coming by--trutst me on that one.
