Glad to see "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" by Robbie Robertson mentioned. Liz Masterson and I do a show of the songs of the Civil War. All material is written from the time except the "Legend of the Rebel Soldier" by the Country Gentlemen as we like to point out that there are some great songs written of the war in modern times. A song of Southern pride that I'm surprised wasn't mentioned yet is "Are You From Dixie?" by Yellen and Cobb and covered in this thread: thread.CFM?threadID=14265 Rex
