Here's where liberalism and I part company--the insane idea that everybody deserves a second chance. No everybody doesn't deserve a second chance--that's just common sense. SOME deserve a second chance. Others clearly DO NOT. And Venables and Thompson fall into the latter category, I'm afraid. Christ, we kill stray pets if nobody wants them because we can't afford to keep caring for them in shelters but these two shit globs have some kind of societal value and have to kept alive and protected at all costs??
