I recently heard an unofficial recording of a live folk concert.
The singer (no names, no packdrill), singing from memory, alone on a stage before a large audience, was halfway through the song when he misrecalled a line, retried it (no luck), paraphrased it instead, and continued without further problems to the end of the song.
I was impressed by his aplomb, not disappointed by his fallibility. We should all do so well in such circumstances.
