Here are some half-remembered fragments of a song that perhaps is related to "Small Island". I think I learned it in about 1970, in 4th grade music class, Edisto Elementary, Orangeburg County, South Carolina. It was, I believe, in our music book and was, I also believe, presented as a folk song from Jamaica, or perhaps from Trinidad. Small island boy, go back to your bornin' country. Small island boy, go back to your bornin' country. You come from Antigua with your foot full of [chiggoe?] You come ...... to [sing to?] my daughter. Small island boy, go back to your bornin's country. Mr. Google seems unacquainted with the song. Anyone recognize it or have more information? Is it a precursor to "Small Island"? Kent
