I recently ran across a BLURB on a set of records about the History of Country Music by Jim Ed Brown about how the Browns had come to the decision retire from the music business. Record sales had dropped and
they weren't getting too many offets.

Chet Atkins asked them if there were any songs they had always wanted to record but never did.

Turns out, the song, "The Three Bells" had always been a favorite of theirs and Jim and also Maxine or Bonnie, had sang the song, at their High School graduation.

So Chet set them up for a recording session and they recorded it.

It became an immediate smash hit and extended their careers for several years.

They had to shorten the song to meet preferred time length.
