My father played this song for me almost every night as a child. It was something of a lullaby for me. He played it in Double Drop D, and the way he played it was very similar to the way Stills plays it on Stills Alone.

I've searched for quite some time for a Double Drop D tab. The only tab I've found is for DADGAD tuning... and not only that, but the tab does not help at all with the picking pattern.

If anyone could transcribe/tab out this song in Double Drop D, or point me in the direction of such a tab, I would be the happiest man in the world, truly. I'm looking for a tab that is similar to this tab: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/s/stephen_stills/helplessly_hoping_tab.htm. It's coherent and clear.

By the way, I don't play guitar much. But I bought a guitar as soon as I came to the states four years ago, strictly to learn this song. I have a slight idea of how to play it... but I really do need a tab to get there.


Any help would be much appreciated. I hope to one day play this song to my children if I ever have them. :)
