Has anyone in this discussion supported the flat tax notion? Or a strict sales tax only option? Or a VAT? How do those figures play with what Dick has supplied? I probably fall in the 50% of all wage earners category. I think I would lean towards the 10 to 15% flat tax notion but I must admit I have given this little thought. I earn just enough to live on and I have saved enough to retire on if I include my jewelry business as a continual occupation. My taxes go to do what ever the government does with it now. If I am taxed more I will find myself close to the poverty line. I can't afford to support people who haven't made the effort to work or save. Don
