About 20 years ago, a college room-mate of mine bought a Mississippi John Hurt album for real cheap in a local department store. It included a song with a refrain, "We undertands it, all by and by..." I loved that song. Upon my graduation, the room-mate offered the album to me. I declined to accept it because I didn't have a reciprocal gift for him. I've regretted that decision ever since. I've searched and searched for that song and inquired of many a blues and folk "expert" to no avail. If you know the song and a recording that includes it, PLEASE let me know.
