Home now from the mountains where it was so cool that I needed a sweater and the campfire felt really nice. All day it was pleasant in the sun, and when that got too hot, I would move to the shade until that got too cold. We hiked around a lovely lake and saw deer and moose and many, many squirrels. My youngest son came up to me and whispered, "Come with me, Mom, I think we've found some gold. Shhhh." I walked with him to a little stream where he and two cousins had discovered sparkling flakes of mica. We panned for awhile, but when there were no nuggets to be found, we moved on to other activities. Eiseley
