As they come from the factory, the Clarkes (both the C and the D)do require a lot of breath. However, they can be 'tweaked' to reduce the windway. The result is a fine sounding and reasonably priced instrument. (See reference to 'Tweaked' Clarkes, back a few messages in this thread.) Tom D.
