Back at last! I had to drag myself away, as we actually got some warm weather at last this weekend. I left Scotland in 23C and clear skies, and arrived home to 13C and grey skies.

I have done as much laundry as I have got time for this week (one mixed load in the village laundry) and it's going through the dryer at the moment. I am going to go up to Berwick shortly and get some diesel to top me up for the 2 long hauls I've got coming up - Yorkshire tomorrow, then the south coast on Friday. On Sunday it happens in reverse.

The work on the house has stalled at the moment, due to no stone being delivered from the quarry. Apparently they are known for closing down for a couple of weeks this time of year.

I've put on several inches from my holiday. Everything is feelinbg tighter! I think a lack of exercise may have contributed! I saw a wonderful couple of exhibitions in Kirkudbright: the town hall always has an good one. It's the "Glasgow Boys" this year. Last year's was the "Glasgow Girls" (Jessie M King, etc), and I thought that was even better than this year's. However, the Tollbooth has a small expo of Glasgow School arts and crafts works. It was amazing!

Every surface in the house is cluttered at the moment. I feel like I'm in transit! I think that next week a concerted effort must be made to at least attack the living room!

Andrea
