My Grandpa used to sing a song with this as the chorus. It began: "Killarney bought a chicken just to give his friends a [treat/thrill??] and continues with lines I can not remember except for "The things they had to eat it was a knife and fork and spoon, But when they wnet to carve it up they could not get it in" or something like that. We called it Killarney's Chicken" not "Cock-a-doodle-do"
