well, he spent a lot on his own country...lowest umemployment rate in North Africa and was setting up a Pan-African bank to give low and interest free loans to poorer nations which pissed off the IMF.. I'm not defending his quirky persona, but I don't believe the 'official' reason for NATO getting involved. Protecting civilians, my ass... we've killed way more in the last 5 months than he did... so if we're really interested in humanitarian war, what about Bahrain, Yemen, Syria,,,to mention a few... never mind about the tyrants in Saudi Arabia...
so basically I see us backing a sketchy bunch of Jihadis to get at resources once again... time will tell, soon enough
