Édouard Richard. Saw him at the Calgary folk festival a few years ago and bought a copy of his CD `Musique gaspésienne` released in 2000. I have a copy of Ti-Jean Carignan`s LP,`Le Violoneux` issued in 1977 under the Totem label TO-9221. I will be seeing Genticorum in concert here in November. Their music is supposed to be a blend of Québecois, Acadian and Celtic - perfect for me. Agree with Meself`s comment that Leahy has nothing to do with Québec. They`re an Ottawa Valley family and their mother is a Cape Bretoner. Chatted with some of them after a concert here a couple of years ago and mentioned I had found lyrics to Ashokan Farewell (in the Mudcat database). They had payed the tune with some sensitivity but didn`t know what it was called.
