It woudn't surprise me if Andy's writing of the song was also prompted by Crawford's song. Tattie Bogle 'n' I sang both at Penicuik Folk Fest a couple of weeks ago, which prompted discussion of other "most murdered songs at sessions". I'm working on "The Murder of the County Down", but we need folk to contribute parodies of "Jock Stewart", "Carrickfergus", "The yellow's on the broom", Wild mountain thyme" etc. Rob
