Two peope who had an enormous influence as singers and who both died recently - Mike Waterson and Ray (Rae) Fisher - she and brother Archie were my first real contact with folk singers in 1961 - at Festival Late in Edinburgh - where I was working at the time - (it ran every night of the week during the 3 weeks of the Edinburgh Festival) Other performers there included Enoch Kent, Gordie MacCulloch and Bobby Campbell - (later the Exiles) Hamich Imlach - a slim young man in those days, and a regular, Domenic Behan- (usually my job to get him a cab when he was incapable of walking!)The whole thing was a great introduction to traditional song!
