Oh yes, sounds familiar! My Father passed away last year and I had quite a few problems with my Solicitor. It seemed like every time I wanted to contact her she was either 'on holiday' or 'on a day off'. On two separate occasions we dropped off documents at their office which they had asked for and left them with the receptionist(death certificate and FENSA double glazing certificate)A week or so later we were emailed to ask why we hadn't taken these documents in and they were waiting for them! I emailed back and asked what did she want me to do, come right into her office and nail them to the bloody desk! There were other errors as well with the result that what would appear to have been an easy sale (the guy next door was buying the house for his son, no chain involved!)took nearly four months because of their dithering and holidaying.
Bloody legal profession
