Your son may like the Hunley exhibit, over near the CHAS Naval Base -- the Hunley was one of the first submarines, I believe Confederate, and they've got a small museum where they are doing archeological work on the river floor where she went down. Also check out Middleton Plantation -- wonderful gardens, there may still be camellias in bloom. My fave local food is shrimp & grits -- made with lots of cheese & brown sauce in the grits. Lynn
