I have always enjoyed Sessions and Sing arounds. Some Dance gigs I would have paid to play there, others I have looked at my watch and thought that "I have another three hours of this". Weddings are normally a nightmare for dance gigs, small children running as fast as they can and sliding the last two thirds of the floor on their back, only to smash into a couple dancing. One dance and the audience has had it for the night. Out of breath, heart attacks or suspected etc. Corperate playing is not for me, lovely money, but no reaction, no clapping, a miserable evening. A nice welcoming Folk Club is normally a lovely evening. Al
