Keef Hartley died 27-11-11 aged 67. I met him thro playing with Dick Heckstall Smith, they were pals from John Mayall days. Keef was drummer also with Rory Storm & Hurricanes, with whom Ringo played before moving on to another group from Liverpool. And then one year Keef turned up at Norwich Folk Festival and played with Rick Kemp & Mike Chapman. Classic image sat behind a drum kit with the Wild West gear..buckskin fringes etc. R.I.P. Keef Hartley
