I'm trying to learn Dillard Chandler's "Jesus Says Go" (on Dark Holler), but he's pretty difficult to understand. The words, as I hear them, are below. I'd love a second set of ears checking these, especially the second verse. Let me know what you hear...


When I was a sinner the people would say
If you wanna be converted you'd better pray
So trust in them's found the lord
For he has promised a sure reward

Jesus says go I'll go with you
Preach the gospel and I'll preach with you
Lord if I go tell me what to say
For they won't believe on me

When I started out on my way to pray
I'll tell you what the spirit did say
Come unto me for I am the way
And I intend in time to pray
The more I prayed the worse I felt
At last I thought my heart would melt

Well my hands was tied, my feet was bound
The elements opened and the Lord come down
The voice I heard sound so sweet
The love run out at the soul of my feet
