The penny whistle, like the bodhran, is very easy to play, but very difficult to play well. As in all instruments, practice is the key. But overall, one can master the basics of making music on the whistles fairly quickly. I would suggest that you pick up Geraldine Cotter's tin whistle tutor. All the best, Mick
