Well, I got more trouble than I can stand
Ever since ragtime has struck the land
Never saw the like in all of my days
Everybody’s got that rag-time craze

I held out as long as I could
Then it got me and it got me good

But now I’m right in line

I got a rag-time dog and a ragtime cat
A rag-time piano in my rag-time flat
I got rag-time clothes, from hat to shoes
I read a paper called the “Rag-time Newsâ€쳌

I got ragtime habits and I talk that way
I dream in rag-time and I rag all day
Got rag-time trouble with my rag-time wife
I’m certainly livin’ a rag-time life
