As a kid, if we were out for a walk, & I asked "How far are we going?" my mum's answer was "We'll go as far as turn-back, where the geese walk barefoot." And "What's that, or "what are you making?" got the response "A loodle-laddle, for winding up the sun". Anything that could not be found was either "Up in Nelly's room behind the wall-paper", or possibly "upstairs in a pie-tent in Ardfert".
