Bev and Jerry Songs which mention websites (14) RE: Songs which mention websites 24 Dec 11

Well, we posted this one in another thread recently. It mentions a number of websites but only one actual URL: Snopes.com. We wrote it in 2006.

Also, there's another one we wrote in 2006 entitled, "Ebay" but it doesn't actually contain the URL. If you want the lyrics just ask and we'll post them.

Finally there's this one which we wrote way back in 1996. It has a URL in the first verse but it's a fictitious one.

chorus:
Internet to glory, oh what joy divine
I can feel the data moving on the line
Built by God the Father, are you hooked up yet?
You can talk to Jesus on the royal internet

1. God is never busy, reach him in a flash
   U - R - L - H - T - T - P colon double slash
   W - W - W, dot L - O - R - D
   Dot E - T - E - R - N - I - T - Y dot N - E - T

2. Fail to get an answer? Satan's crossed the wire
Brought you to temptation, made you play with fire
You must stop your surfing, go to God direct
And you'll get your answer on the royal internet

3. There will be some charges, you must pay the fee
To ATT or AOL, salvation's never free
Once you've paid your money you will see the light
When you point your browser to the Lord's own holy site

4. Satan and his helpers cannot get control
Of this line to glory anchored in the soul
Stay on the straight and narrow - do not turn aside
Right through your compuer you'll be "cybersanctified"

Tune: Royal Telephone
