Don't know the first, but with wordpress you should have a separate administrator login that gives you access to all of the maintenance, account details, stats, and so on. You need to use that one, not the public address, to do the stuff you want to. If you have forgotten the address or your login details, you can probably get them back from wordpress as long as you still have the same email address.
